Spend a full day exploring the wilderness of the Everglades on this adventure from the Greater Fort Myers/Naples area. With your naturalist guide, take an exciting airboat ride in the Western Everglades, see wildlife on a drive through Big Cypress National Preserve, admire towering cypress trees on a nature walk, and enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along mangrove-lined waters to see manatees, dolphins and osprey. Your guide will teach you all about the Everglades and accompany you to lunch.

Itinerary

1. Stop 1 · 70 min

   Considered the best airboat ride in the Everglades, you'll be taken through the pond apple swamps and cattail marshes in search of alligators, turtles, birds and more!

2. Big Cypress National Preserve · 60 min

   Wildlifedrive through the back country of the first Preserve in the National Park system.

3. Stop 3 · 45 min

   Enjoy lunch in the heart of the Everglades with a choice of over over 20 items including burgers, chicken, fish and salads.

4. Stop 4 · 60 min

   Journey through the "Ten Thousand Islands" in Everglades National Park, the 2nd largest mangrove forest in the world where you will seek out dolphin, manatee and other species of coastal wildlife in the southern most frontier.

5. Smallwood Store · 25 min

   Step back in time and explore the historic Smallwoods Store Museum. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the museum stands frozen in time, a window to a bygone era when the store was the islands trading post and island life revolved around the activities here.

6. Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park · 60 min

   Nature Walk through a grove of ancient cypress trees out to a "gator hole" where female alligators have been nesting for decades.
