Get goosebumps from stories of true crime and tales of mysterious hauntings as we recount episodes from Tulsa's dark past. Walk past Arts District cafes and museums that once hosted disreputable hotels and legendary characters — some of whom never left.

Tour is for adults and includes mature topics like adult (mis)behavior, murder, racial violence.

Itinerary

1. Cabin Boys Brewpub · 10 min

   Tour begins in an old Ford motor car plant (now brewpub) with an historic introduction to this district.

2. Cain's Ballroom · 10 min

   This historic concert hall was built by a dubious and now discredited city founder. Legendary musicians have played here and even punched through the walls. The King of Western Swing is said to haunt the premises. We do not enter Cain's.

3. The Hunt Club · 10 min

   Listen to stories about this former brothel and the paranormal disturbances that persist.

4. Stop 4 · 10 min

   Perhaps the darkest stop on the tour, this former convention hall hosted musical celebrities and played a disturbing role in the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre.

5. Stop 5 · 10 min

   The former Fox Hotel is the oldest extant building downtown. Once a prime location for visiting businessmen, it was also the scene of the infamous Tulsa Outrage. It later turned into a flophouse on skid row.

6. Stop 6 · 5 min

   Wrap up with one more ghost story in a dark alley in between a trendy steakhouse and craft cocktail bar.
