Located in Kahului on the beautiful island of Maui, Taimane is one of Campervan Hawaii’s Mercedes Metris pop-top campervans with seating for 5 and is great for cruising around the island. It is one of our favorite campervans in the fleet and features a rear seat that easily converts to a queen bed at night and a pop-top which opens up to allow you to stand up inside the van and also has another 2 person bed up top. It has a 50qt refrigerator, a large shade awning, a 3” Tempurpedic mattress on the lower bed, swiveling front seats, bug screen for the rear hatch, 120V AC outlets, 12V USB outlets, privacy curtains, surfboard racks, 3 gallon portable “Rinse Kit” shower, and a stereo with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Arriving: Our standard check-in time is 3:00PM. If available, you may be able to checkin sooner for an additional fee of $10/hr should you want your campervan earlier than 3:00PM. Let us know if you would like early check-in and we will try and accommodate you but it is not guaranteed. We are located at 230 Hana Hwy #9 which is around 2 miles from Kahului (OGG) airport. The best way of getting there is by using a rideshare like Uber or Lyft and alternatively there are taxis but they tend to be more expensive. Once there, we will go over the campervan with you, teach you how to use it, answer any questions you might have and will get you on the road. Camping: Camping on Maui does require you to have a campsite for each night as there is no free camping. Check out the camping page on our website for more information and we will also provide you with our camping and itinerary guide once you book which shows you our recommended spots and how to book them. We supply this campervan with camping equipment for a mandatory fee of $9 per person per day which includes: - Bath towel and washcloth for each person - Beach towel for each person - Beach chair for each person - Pillow for each person - Headlamp for each person - Kitchenware for each person - Maps and and tour guide book - Pots, pans and miscellaneous cooking utensils - French Press Coffee Maker - Electric Kettle - 2 burner propane stove with (2) 1lb propane tanks - 3 Gallons Filtered Drinking Water - Camp Table - Bed Linens - Binoculars - Lantern and Fairy Lights - Umbrella - Toilet Paper - Garbage Bags - Games - Clothes Line - First aid kit - Fire extinguisher - 2 person Hammock - Bronner’s Biodegradable Soap You can also choose some of these Additional Add-ons which can make your vacation even more enjoyable: - Snorkel Sets - Boogie Boards - Surf Boards - SUP Boards - Children’s Car Seat - Children’s Booster Seat - Portable Bluetooth Speaker - 4 Person Tent - Camping Mattress Pad - Extra Sheet Set - Extra Pillow - Porta Potti - Weber Charcoal Grill - Beach Cooler - Portable Power Station *** Note *** The $9 per person fee must be added by you during checkout. It is the first Add-on. If not added during checkout, then we will automatically add it to your reservation. Since Taimane has been in our fleet for 5 years now, it does show some wear and tear and is priced accordingly, but it still remains one of our most popular campervans for cruising around the island. When booking through Outdoorsy’s platform, you will be required to purchase insurance through them even if you have your own insurance that would cover this campervan rental.   The camper van was perfect for our 4 day excursion along the east side of Maui. The van was super comfortable to sleep in for our family of four- 2 adults and 2 kids ages 8 and 10. Plenty of space for us and our gear. The electric cooler was the best! No need for ice. Great gas mileage too! Communication via text was great and pick up and drop Off was easy. Highly recommend the van and this company.

  Since this was our first trip to Maui we decide we wanted to be able to see and do as much as possible and Outdoorsy provided the answer. The campervan we rented was great, it ran flawlessly, and very easy to drive even on the road to Hana. Beth-Ann and Nate at Outdoorsy were great to work with and both were very accommodating.   The van was completely kitted out for an authentic travel camper experience. It was very comfortable and handled great. Although we did not use all the gear, we had a great experience exploring beautiful Maui in this van.
