Starved Rock State Park in Oglesby, Illinois is always a favorite for hiking with canyons and waterfalls just 2 hours away. Apple River Canyon State Park in Apple River, Illinois (near Galena) has great hiking and fishing spots but is limited to boondocking for a more rugged experience. Mississippi Palisades State Park in Savanna, Illinois offers spectacular views of the Mississippi River and local kayaking that can't be beat. The Wisconsin Ridge campground in Wyalusing State Park near Bagley, Wisconsin is perched on an amazing overlook at the joining of the Wisconsin and Mississippi Rivers. It also boasts a unique 6 mile canoe trail. Devil’s Lake State Park in Baraboo, Wisconsin is a regional favorite for rock climbing, hiking, and swimming. The Dells are also close for those who favor a good go-kart race. We sometimes have reservations available as a package offering. Ask for details. Other things to note 100 miles per night (under 1,000 total) are included at no charge. Any miles over 1,000 are charged at $0.35 per mile. Dogs and cats welcome (at the same time if they get along). Wrestling for dibs on the pop top must be done outside the vehicle. For those with longer rental periods, we are happy to offer airport pick-ups, assistance with campsite reservations, and extra gear as needed.

  This Campervan convinced me Class Bs are are a great option. Camped with teenage kids. So easy to drive and park we went to a museum near the campground. Doug is a fantastic renter, everything went smooth, and the camper has everything you need, including a new battery and solar setup where plugging in at a campground is optional (perfect for boondocking).

  This was such a great journey!!! The rig ran well and Doug was quick to respond to any questions that came up during the trip as I had never done anything like this before. This experience has given me such great insight to owing my own sprinter one day!!!😉🫶

  Doug is a genial and efficient host in his pre-trip communication, prep/paperwork, check-out/orientation, and return. My partner Laura and I had an exceptional trip of 2 days rock climbing and 2 days mountain biking in the northwest Arkansas region - the rig was ideal for our needs and we particularly loved the popup. Highly recommend!
