Have you ever watched an ambulance scream past you and wondered what it feels like to drive one of those beauties? Here’s your chance! Explore the splendour of the Pacific Northwest from the comfort and safety of this show-stopper retired ambulance. The powerful turbodiesel van comes with everything 2 people and pets would need for a memorable road trip in most weather conditions. Plenty of power from the V8 gets you into and keeps up with highway traffic with ease, while the low-down diesel torque will climb almost any hill or mountain road effortlessly. And it sounds like a semi!! You gotta love the diesel “dock-dock-dock” sound :). Maybe I should have named it “Dock-Dock”…but I digress The interior of the van came fully insulated in the rugged ambulance box (did I say “safety”?) and converted professionally to include pine wall panels, hardwood floor and sliding wood bedframe built around the original cabinets and shelves. Dimmable LED ceiling lights, diesel heater and vent fan for creature comforts. Still has original VHF radio, air horn, lights and sirens…maybe they still work? Rent Huey to find out! (There’s a hint in the Rules below) With offshore power and inverter plus 400W solar panels feeding three 12V batteries, you can charge your laptop and power appliances without draining the vehicle battery. Lots of storage space inside and outside. Kitchen with sink and fridge allow you to stay nourished at your own convenience. Still a work in progress, but sufficient for most adventures! Engine, chassis and drivetrain professionally inspected by Ford dealer in March 2022 and in great shape, has been driven from Kent to SoCal and also Kent to Denver and back. Host is a lifelong mechanic and gearhead—I spoil this truck with maintenance round the clock so you can drive with peace of mind. What's included Full kitchen with 2-burner propane stove and an electric-powered faucet and sink Refrigerator Microwave Electric water kettle Pots, pans, dishware, silverware, cooking utensils, dish towels, cleaning supplies Coffee maker French press Diesel heater Portable propane grill and utensils Portable propane heater provided upon request Large propane tank (full) Two 5-gal freshwater tanks (can be full or empty upon pickup) 400 Watt Solar power 20 Amp Shore power plug-in and cable Inverter + electrical system that charges automatically while the van is running Dimmable LED interior lighting Exterior scene lighting (original ambulance equipment) Powerful fan keeps the interior cool and odor-free Lots of storage space in 3 exterior bays, 1 interior cabinet, many shelves, and under the 2 benches Portable toilet Convertible futon-bed with firm 4 inch queen mattress and 2-inch memory foam topper sleeps 2 Fresh linen+pillows, duvet available upon request 2 Camp chairs 2 Sleeping bags upon request 10x10 easy setup tent upon request 1 hammock First aid kit Roadside safety kit Kite! This RV is a cute work in progress. There are some mechanical quirks and reliability issues with the battery/solar panels. Tony was very responsive and helpful when issues did arise.

My husband and I rented out Huey for our anniversary and it was the best decision we could have made. Tony is the most helpful and friendly host and truly made our stay in his ambulance-turned-RV the best ever. It's easy to drive, has amazing features, and turns heads wherever you go. Tony was available for any questions we had before and after booking and he made great suggestions on different campgrounds we could…
Nearest first, within about 50 miles of Kent. 50 with sites listed shorter than 28 ft are left out; "Site length not listed" means check with the campground.
