1/10/2022 I don't recommend renting this rv at this time. Luis, the owner, is new to renting his rv and there are issues that need to be resolved for future renters. I rented this RV twice and had issues both times. You can read my first review for some of the positives for renting this rv. Here's the issues I encountered on both trips: Trip #1 - We ran out of power for the furnace on the second night. It was a cold night. We did charge the batteries for 3 hours during the day with the generator but that was not enough. - Battery charge meter appears to be incorrect. The meter will indicate the batteries are fully charged after running the generator for about 30 minutes. The batteries are not fully charged that quickly. - Other meters don't show accurate information. I believe the black water meter is incorrect. This is an issue Luis knows about but has not fixed. - Dash screen stopped working and had to be reset. - Dash screen has to be manually turned off or it runs down the vehicle battery. - I found the beds to be uncomfortable. For me, on the large bed, the seam in the mattress is right at my hip so I sort of sank into that seam and it was very uncomfortable. I brought a camping sleeping pad on my second trip. That helped. Trip #2 - even more problems - We ran out of power for the furnace at about 1am on the second night. It was 29 degrees outside. We had charged the batteries for several hours during the day with the generator but that wasn't enough. This is the second time this has happened. - Battery charge meter appears to be incorrect. This is an issue Luis knows about but has not fixed. - Other meters don't show accurate information. I believe the black water meter is incorrect. This is an issue Luis knows about but has not fixed. - Slideout stopped working. Fortunately the slide out was pulled in when it quit working. This is an issue Luis knows about but has not fixed. - The drivers side after-market leveling jack doesn’t work. So we couldn’t get the rv level. This was inconvenient for cooking, sleeping etc. Luis knew about this issue but did not inform me until pickup. I was under the impression that the jack worked but not 100% correctly. The jack didn't work at all. - We couldn’t figure out how to light the oven. I called Luis but he was unable to tell us how to light the oven. Luis was unable to advise on an issue during our first trip as well. - Dash screen stopped working again and wouldn’t reset this time. So we had to drive home without the benefit of the side view cameras. - Dash screen has to be manually turned off or it runs down the vehicle battery. - I found the bed to be uncomfortable. Bring a camping sleeping pad or some other pad for each bed if you want to sleep well. When I returned from my second trip I discussed the above issues with Luis. His response? A $50 credit. I don't believe that's an adequate compromise for an RV with such big issues. This RV is not ready to be rented.
Luis was very accommodating to my needs and requests. RV was very clean at pickup. RV was easy to drive and perfect size for my needs.
