This is an older RV with several things needing fixing. The refrigerator was new and he mentioned that a broken doorknob was about to be replaced. The RV was stocked with a bunch of useful stuff such as drawers full of utensils , kitchen supplies and gadgets, movies, games, etc. There were plenty of sheets and blankets; too much actually since we really didn't need to haul all the little kid plush dolls and blankets that were in the overhead sleeping area and left those behind for our trip. The RV itself drove fine and I didn't worry about this older vehicle making the trip. overall, I knew that this was an older RV and would have wear, but it was comfortable and reliable and Michael seems an honest fellow. I'd rent from him again.
In addition to a few small visual defects, there was a major one regarding safety. The rear tires had no tread at all and one burst on the freeway without any external influence. There was no spare tire on board, so we had to take care of the repairs ourselves. After consulting with the owner, he wanted to reimburse us for this cost ($375). Unfortunately, despite repeated requests, this did not happen.
