About

** Please note Only on Outdoorsy: Trailer Cannot be disconnected from tow vehicle, except for a bona fide emergency. You will be required to sign an additional legal contract confirming this. We also charge a $750 damage deposit due to their restrictive and limited insurance policies. We hope that you provide an opportunity to either meet Lucy or Simon, our 2024 Escapod Voyager Topo2 trailers that come complete with all-season FSR Premium V2 King Hybrid Roof Top Tents. Our Voyager teardrop trailers are ready to take on the most rugged terrain. Inside the cabin, you’ll find a true queen-sized 6” memory foam mattress. Lay back and stare at the night sky through the massive 2.5’ x 5’ stargazer window. With nearly 8 cubic feet of cabinet space and 5 cubic feet of space behind the headboard, you’ll have plenty of space for your clothes, accessories, and additional gear. The beautiful, rich and relaxing interior offers warm and cozy nights during the winter, and cool vibes during the summer. Our teardrops have dual 100-amp hour lithium battery power for the 12V system throughout the trailer. Due to the standard 140W fully integrated solar panel and fast-charging lithium batteries, this system is almost always regenerative. Strategically placed dimmable LED lighting in the cabin & galley, ground lights beneath each entry door, and dual porch lights next to each door will keep your nights illuminated. Access to USB ports and wireless charging stations on each nightstand (yes, there are nightstands) will keep your devices charged. The Kisea Power 2000W + 80A Inverter-Charger (BIC122080) offers the ability to power standard 3-prong (120 power) appliances in the galley and cabin. Also included is an external shore power port to hook up to campsite power which enables you to run your whole system and charge your battery. You’ll also find a furnace nested inside the trailer providing forced air throughout the cabin. Airflow is directed strategically across the stargazer window & side doors which creates a warm air pocket further insulating the cabin & reducing condensation on the double-pane windows. The combination furnace/water heater not only heats the cabin air but also provides instant hot water to the stunning fully integrated stainless-steel sink and outdoor shower. The galley will make your kitchen at home jealous. A stainless-steel sink, slide-out 2-burner stove, an ARB 63 fridge/freezer combo, 7.5 cubic feet of cabinet space, a hidden knife storage cabinet, spice drawer, and modular shelving that allows you to cook and entertain as if you were in your own home. All our trailers come with high quality Barebones Living kitchen, cooking, and flat wares for service of 8, and Grove Co. compostable kitchen wipes to help you clean up after a night in front of the fire, whether running solo, or with your people. The water tank gives you a usable capacity of 21-gallons of water. It’s nested inside the insulated trailer reducing concerns over freezing temps. Combined with a unique water cut-off, the water system can be used year-round. It’s also easier to refill the tank when you’re out in the wild using a water fill port on the side of the trailer that doesn’t require pressurized water. Every trailer includes a system monitor so you can get an easy read on your battery consumption, internal cabin temperature, and water levels. The shower is a magnetized mount that sticks to the exterior of the trailer when you are ready to use it! The shower hookup is located in the galley right behind the sink, with an easy connection point and temperature control. Once finished, you can simply remove the magnetized mount, disconnect the hose, and stow it away for next time! We have also included KleanFreak body wipes to help you stay fresh while on your adventure. The included portable toilet will transform the way you do your business in the great outdoors and beyond. This unique camping toilet is easily packable with a quick set up for those “can’t-wait-another-minute” moments. It is designed to give you a private, and sanitary bathroom option when you find yourself far from the luxury of indoor plumbing. Whether you are off-roading, backpacking, tailgating, at a festival, or just value being prepared, this small and compact portable toilet is packed full of features that will make even the roughest situations more enjoyable. Included in the kit is everything you need for your adventure, including the privacy shelter, toilet chair and all necessary accessories. And who can overlook the 8' Roam awning and the unreal Free Spirit Recreation (FSR) High Country Premium V2 King roof top tent that is just massive with a California King Size 3" thick memory foam mattress. This mattress stands out for its exceptional comfort, making it comfortable for up to 2 adults and 3 children, maybe more. Our trailers are the most intelligently designed 4-season camping trailers, making them some of the best fiberglass trailers you will find. Each of our trailers can accommodate up to 6 people in total making them the Bay Area's premier camping and overland adventure experience escape pods. #escapefogcity What's included Each rental comes with: *Barebones Living complete kitchen, cooking, and flat wares for service of 8 *KleanFreak wet body wipes *Grove Co compostable kitchen wipes for a quick easy cleanup after every meal *Steeped Coffee Bags (Instant coffee that steeps like tea bags) *IntsaPrivy Portable Toilet, bags, and paper rolls *Linens: those with pets will need to provide your own linens out of health concerns *FSR Premium Hybrid Roof Top Tent with CalKing size bed and 3" memory foam mattress. Steven was great to work with on this rental. He made certain we were prepared and knew how to use the trailer before heading out and was available to answer our questions during the trip.

The overall experience was fantastic. This was our first experience with towing a trailer and Steven was very accomodating and patient in answering all of our questions (and making us feel at ease and confident with towing). Pick up and dropoff was fast and easy--Steven gave us a thorough walkthrough of the trailer and quickly and efficiently helped to hitch it to our car. The Escapod Topo 2 is the cream of the crop when it comes to campers and Steven really complimented it well with very thoughtful ammenities stocked throughout the trailer (instant coffee and freeze dried fruits were a hit!). Communication was great and on-point and he proactively reached out to make sure everything was all set the day before pickup and even a few hours before pickup. Overall it was a terrific experience and we look forward to planning another trip with Steven again!

I can't say enough good things about Steven and San Francisco Overland. Steven was engaged and informative even before booking, answering questions about the size of trailer (I'm 6'-6" tall and do indeed fit inside for sleeping), the size of the roof top tent (Cal King!), and the capabilities of the trailer. Once booked he pointed us in the direction of youtube videos that provided tutorials on the how the various trailer systems worked. He answered a number of additional questions about trailer capabilities and even provided a service to help find locations that fit our overlanding capabilities/desires. It was great to know that we had location options that were vetted and that we knew the trailer could accomodate. Check out was quick and informative. In addition to all the pots, pans, utensils, spices, etc. you could need, the trailer included little extras like freeze dried fruit treats, bug spray, cleaning wipes, and more. Because of the clearance of the trailer we needed to rent a hitch, and the one supplied was top notch (Weigh Safe). We definitely put the trailer through its paces, and without question it is more off-road capable than my truck. When we set up camp everything was in its place and good to go despite the bouncing and shaking and dust bath the trailer endured. The kitchen worked out great for us, although if you are not tall you might want to bring a small collapsible step stool to more easily reach the counter. The cooktop was clean and convenient and we had plenty of water for our three days. I was impressed by the electrical set up. 200Ah of lithium plus a 200W solar panel handled the fridge and water pump and lights with no trouble at all. Drop off was as quick and convenient as the pick up. Steven did a check of systems and items and sent us on our way. There aren't many overlanding trailers available for rent, and I'm appreciative of the opportunity to try one out as we consider whether its a type of rv'ing that will work for us. I wouldn't hesitate renting from Steven, Susie, and SF Overland again.
