Small Group Yosemite and Giant Sequoias Day Trip from San Francisco

Take a day trip from San Francisco to Yosemite National Park, described as the crown jewel of the country's many splendid national parks. You will be guided on a coach tour to highlights such as Bridalveil Falls, Tunnel View, El Capitan, and Yosemite Falls, with a stop for a 1-mile (1.6-km) walk into a grove of giant sequoias*.

Our vans only take 15 passengers, so we are able to stop at more places with less time for loading and unloading of passengers.

*weather permitting, and the hike is not recommended for people with health issues

Itinerary

1. San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge · pass by

   Drive across bridge on the way to Yosemite

2. San Joaquin Valley · pass by

   California's agricultural heartland, visible during the long drive to the Sierra foothills.

3. Tunnel View · 30 min

   Drive to one of the most beautiful views of the Yosemite valley from above

4. Merced River · pass by

   The tour follows this scenic river canyon as it enters the national park.

5. Yosemite Valley · 120 min

   Spend free time experiencing the valley

6. Half Dome · 20 min

   Stop for photos

7. Yosemite Falls · 60 min

   Walk to the 4th tallest waterfalls in the world

8. El Capitan · 30 min

   Stop to look for climbers on the granite wall

9. Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias · 90 min

   See some of the biggest trees on the planet.

10. Bridalveil Fall · 30 min

• Specialized infant seats are available
• Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
• Children must be accompanied by an adult
• Car seat required for children 8 years old and under; not provided
• Please Note: National Park fees may apply for international visitors. If applicable, this fee is collected in-destination and not at the time of booking.
• The trip is accessible for most of the tour. However, at the end of the day, we go on a hike to see the giant sequoias. This is NOT advised for people with back, heart or knee problems. It is also not wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately, this is only way to see the sequoias.
• There is a possibility that the Giant Sequoia hike will not be available due to winter weather conditions.
