Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights3 sites open for every nightA forested campground near fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.
Porcupine Campground sits beside Porcupine Creek on the south shore of Turnagain Arm in Chugach National Forest, a compact, largely birch-lined site that feels remote despite being close to the small town of Hope. From the campground's scenic overlook you can often watch windsurfers carving the tidal flats and, on good days, spot beluga whales feeding in the arm Turnagain Arm is the western branch of Cook Inlet that separates the Kenai Peninsula from the mainland.
Length limits vary by campsite.

“Really nice campground. Very clean sites and facilities. Great hiking right from the campground, amazing views of Turnagain Arm and just down the road from Historic Hope town site. ”
“We have camped there many times. It is a great quiet place to camp. It is in the forrest so nature is all around you”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (6,575 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
