Service Campground sits on the high banks of Coffeeville Lake, part of the Black Warrior & Tombigbee Waterway, where the lake's 8,800 surface acres stretch along roughly 97 miles of shoreline. The campground is set among mixed pine and hardwood stands with adjacent conifer pockets and rolling meadows that put on colorful wildflower displays in season; wood ducks, bald eagles and a variety of other water- and forest-dwelling wildlife are commonly seen from campsites or along short walks.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“What a surprise. Such a gem. Wonderful park ”
“Overall we had a great time, the bath house was well maintained, the parking spaces were clean. The only complaints were the security light outside the Bath house was out and the light over the Men's shower area was out.”
“Great park; you see al kinds of boats on the river. The attendants are nice people. I look forward to going there again. ”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (10,261 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
30 individual reservable campsites from Recreation.gov, checked Nov 7. Rates are the listed nightly rates.
