The lake and surrounding public lands shape most days here: wide, breezy stretches of water are well suited to sailing and high-speed water sports, while quiet coves invite kayaking, tubing, or a sheltered fishing spot. Norfork is noted for its fishery striped bass are a draw, black bass fishing is strongest from September through May, and night fishing with lights for crappie and white bass has become increasingly popular.
