Camping at Hickory Creek Park (Ar) near Lowell

Public campground · Lowell · 61 campsites

A forested campground near trout fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. RV fit varies by site.

About this campground

Recreation at Hickory Creek is an extension of everything Beaver Lake offers: more than 28,000 surface acres of water and 449 miles of shoreline created by the dam mean boating, water-skiing and scuba diving are common pursuits, and year-round commercial marinas around the lake provide groceries, fuel, boat rental, fishing guides and supplies. Anglers will target largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, bream, white bass, stripers and catfish on the lake, while the cold tailwaters below the dam on the upper White River hold rainbow and sizable German brown trout.

“Site is built on the side of a hill and difficult to walk around the RV during setup. Also fire pit is on the opposite side of most sites and you must use steps to get down to it. On a good note it has a great of of the lake area and marina.”

“Good spot to stay at shower was good but could be up dated some but all around Best camping spot I have been to”

Cory S 4 · Oct 2025 · Recreation.gov

“We stayed 4 nights and our spot was perfect! We lost power from a storm and it was back and running in no time. Would highly recommend! ”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.

Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (27,040 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
