Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights6 sites open for every nightA forested campground near fishing, and hiking. RV fit varies by site.
The lake is best-known for fishing expect catfish, bluegill, crappie and bass and boating is popular: there are 11 boat ramps around Nimrod Lake and water-skiing and tubing are allowed only from the tip of Carden Point eastward toward the dam because areas to the west are hazardous. Beyond water sports, activities around Quarry Cove include hiking, picnicking, wildlife viewing and playground use; wildlife commonly seen here includes white-tailed deer, wild turkey, quail, squirrel, rabbit, fox, mink, black bear, dove and a variety of waterfowl, and seasonal hunting is permitted across the lake except within or adjacent to recreation areas.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“Overall experience was good. Not great but good. The site we stayed at was tight with not much room in-between each site. The bathrooms could have been cleaner. The area was beautiful and quiet which was nice. 3 out of 5 stars”
“Have been coming here since a child and this atmosphere is peaceful not party!”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (5,300 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
