About this campground

Beyond the clearing, Lewis Canyon provides direct access to the White Mountain Trail System for hiking and mountain biking, and a network of nearby Forest Service roads opens up a variety of terrain for OHV riders; the surrounding Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest also supports horseback riding and horse camping, wildlife viewing and other backcountry pursuits across its roughly two million acres. Facilities at the group site are basic: vault toilets and a picnic area are provided, but there are no individual campsite hookups this is a single group space that accepts both recreational vehicles and tents.

“Great place to camp with your family and a group of friends. The trail behind the campground is excellent. The restrooms were very clean and in excellent conditions. There wasn't any potable water like there normally is but managed without it. ”

“The sight was great but there is not a camp host at the moment and several people tried to camp there. We had to have the Forest Service and Sheriff come out to remove one of them. Other than that is was quiet and clean.”
