A forested campground near trout fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. Most campsites have no hookups.
Recreation at Pioneer Point revolves around Lake Isabella, one of California's largest reservoirs and the point where the Upper and Lower Kern Rivers divide. The lake is open for swimming, water skiing and windsurfing, and in colder months it's known for trout fishing as well as populations of black and white crappie, bluegill, catfish and largemouth bass.
