Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights38 sites open for every nightA forested campground near trout fishing. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.
Antlers is a practical base for whatever you came to Shasta Lake to do: the adjacent launch and nearby marinas put boating, swimming and water-based fishing within easy reach, while day trips can take you to Lake Shasta Caverns or into the wider Shasta Trinity National Forest California's largest, with five wilderness areas, hundreds of mountain lakes and more than 6,200 miles of streams and rivers; snow-capped Mount Shasta is visible on clear days. Anglers will find a long species list in the lake (rainbow and brown trout, several bass species, Chinook salmon, sturgeon and panfish among others); trout fishing is often best in spring on the McCloud Arm, the Sacramento Arm, Big Backbone Creek and Little Squaw Creek, moving deeper in summer (effective baits include live minnows and marshmallow/egg combinations; common trolling lures are Kastmasters, Rebels, Thinfins, Z-rays and Rapalas), while bass fishing tends to be good year-round and strongest in spring and early summer using live bait, rubber worms and spinnerbaits.

Length limits vary by campsite.

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (4,704 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
