Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights7 sites open for every nightA forested campground near trout fishing, and hiking. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.
Ackerman Campground sits on the western shore of Lewiston Lake at about 1,900 feet elevation, immediately below Trinity Dam, and the setting is defined by the lake's cold, clear water and a shoreline that shifts from marshy flats to forested slopes. The water body itself is roughly 610 acres (about 5 miles long and a half-mile wide) and supports good fishing for kokanee salmon and rainbow, brown and brook trout, which is one reason anglers favor this site.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“Campground was super quiet and the camp hosts were great. Bathrooms were always very clean and stocked with toilet paper. We even received wood delivered to our site by our hosts. It was very hot and the water was too cold but the lake isn’t too far away. ”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (1,377 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
