Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights2 sites open for every nightA forested campground near trout fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.
Red Feather Campground sits on the eastern shore of Little Grass Valley Reservoir in the Northern Sierra Nevada at about 5,100 feet, where stands of pine and fir give way in places to open alpine meadows and direct views of the water. The reservoir created when the valley was flooded after dam construction in the 1960s offers a full suite of water activities: anglers chase trout and kokanee salmon (a valid California fishing license is required), while others boat, swim or tow skiers across open stretches of the 1,615-acre lake.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“We loved how quiet it was there were just 8 of us from Sun afternoon to Tuesday. However there were downed trees everywhere. The good part was we were able to find firewood but it made the campground scruffy looking. ”
“Campground was very clean. Flush toilet and water available. Campground was well-maintained.”
“Our favorite camping spot. We come here every year. Take a day trip over to the dam and other boat docks to explore the Reservoir if you don't have a boat.”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (5,471 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
