Camping at Nordheimer Group Sites near Orleans

The Salmon River is the focal point for on-site recreation swimming, sunbathing, rafting and kayaking are common here and the nearby Orleans Mountain Trail and trailheads into the Marble Mountain Wilderness expand options for hiking, horseback riding and high-country fishing in any of the area's 89 lakes. More broadly, Six Rivers National Forest supports auto touring, biking, fishing, hiking, horse camping and off-highway vehicle riding, and the forest maintains fire lookouts and some overnight cabins.
