Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights1 site open for every nightA forested campground near trout fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.
Recreation extends beyond the shoreline into the broader Angeles National Forest, which spans much of the San Gabriel Mountains and supports a mix of chaparral, oak and higher-elevation pine forests. From this base you can drive a short distance along the Angeles Crest Scenic Byway for dramatic transitions from oak thickets to high desert and pine, or step onto nearby trails such as sections of the Pacific Crest Trail and the Blue Ridge Trail for day hikes.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“Our group stayed in campsites 005 & 006. Campsite 006 is elevated and a really nice spot. Campsite 005 is next to the pit toilets, and it smells bad. I would not recommend campsite 005. The campground is a short walk to the lake and is overall a nice place to camp.”
“We stayed at spot #2. It’s on a small slope but seen that an area has been flattened for a tent. A plus is that it’s close to two water spickets and the restroom. My fiancee and I lived the site, the lake is a 5 min walk away. Definitely will be returning. ”
“Great campground, quiet, clean, conveniently close to the lake. ”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (2,338 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
