Jacks Gulch Recreation Area sits about 48 miles northwest of Fort Collins along Highway 14, then a short turn south on Pingree Park Road, placing you in a mixed ponderosa pine and aspen landscape threaded with grassy meadows. A nature trail loops around the site and one stretch opens up toward the Mummy Range, so much of the activity here centers on short to moderate hikes, mountain biking and horseback rides right out of camp; birding and wildlife viewing are common from the trail and meadow edges.

Length limits vary by campsite.
