Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights18 sites open for every nightA forested campground near fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.
The campground is a practical base for hikers and anglers heading into the Weminuche Wilderness: the West Fork Trail (also called the Rainbow Trail) begins a mile beyond the campground and climbs into the wilderness, but note the trail's first stretch crosses private land stay on the marked tread and leave gates as you find them. Fishing is possible in the West Fork and nearby Wolf Creek, but both streams are heavily fished and generally produce only for patient, experienced anglers.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“We greatly enjoy this campground. You can hear the sound of the river, hike and fish along it. So relaxing. The camp host, John is very welcoming and a wealth of information on activities around the area.”
“Beautiful and well-maintained campground facility. The West Fork River is awesome.”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (3,683 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
