Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights2 sites open for every nightA forested campground near hiking. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.
What brings most people here is the water: Camel Lake's clear seepage-fed surface is ringed by a short loop trail that you can extend by connecting to nearby stretches of the Florida National Scenic Trail. The day-use area has a sandy beach, picnic shelter and tables for swimming and shore-side lunches, and there are boat landings nearby that give access to the creeks feeding the Apalachicola River for paddling and exploration.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“The road coming into the camp ground is not paved and is very rough. Not recommended for Motor coaches....but the grounds are very nice”
“The campground was great! Our site (8) was right next to the bathroom, which was great for my children. We enjoyed the sunset at the lake and swam most of our time there. There are great trails for hiking with your kids, too! Can’t wait to go again!”
“A beautiful place and quiet setting. Space was huge and view of lake spectacular. Host was very nice and helpful. ”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (5,309 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
