Highlands Hammock - with more rare and endemic species than any other Florida State Park - is a place where wilderness and history are preserved. Visitors can walk the trails where the Florida panther and black bear quietly pass beneath the ancient, towering oaks of a magnificent hydric hammock.

The park gates close at sunset. If you plan to arrive late please, contact the park prior to 5 p.m. on the day of your arrival. Please be aware of thru traffic on CR 634 and practice safetyat all times. Horses must be trailered in and out for horse camping. Quiet time begins at 11 p.m. and must be observed by all campers. Check-out time is 1 p.m. No fireworks.

Service animals are welcome in all areas of the park where visitors are normally allowed.
No one younger than 18 may camp overnight unless accompanied by a responsible adult, who will remain onsite for the period rented.
