Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights12 sites open for every nightA forested campground near trout fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.
Dog Creek Campground sits at about 4,600 feet in a stand of ponderosa pines on the banks of Dog Creek, roughly four miles from the small town of Pine in south-central Idaho and about 58 miles east of Mountain Home via Highway 20 and Forest Highway 61. The setting is quietly wooded rather than developed summer wildflowers scatter the understory and deer and hummingbirds are commonly seen and the South Fork Boise River runs less than a quarter-mile away, where anglers chase rainbow trout and rafters and swimmers find access to swift water.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“It's quiet and peaceful and we enjoy even though it's a very small campground that you can still reserve a spot; most other small Forest Service campgrounds in Idaho tend to be first-come sites.”

“Fairly secluded campground a little ways off the highway. Friendly camp host, clean restrooms, and there are dumpsters near the entrance so you don’t have to carry trash all the way home. There are hot springs very close by, which are a huge bonus to this location. ”
“Clean and well taken care of. Always a pleasure visiting here.”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (1,800 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
