Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights26 sites open for every nightA forested campground near fishing. RV fit varies by site.
The setting is a working outdoor-recreation landscape, so the day's rhythm here tends to follow the lake: anglers come for channel catfish, walleye, white bass and wipers, and the boat ramp puts you on the water for fishing, water sports or long shoreline runs. Wildlife is abundant across the surrounding public lands; deer, upland game and a variety of waterfowl frequent the reservoir margins, and the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks manages large swaths of hunting ground and a waterfowl refuge nearby stop by the project office for maps and regulations.

“Clean and quiet. The area is mowed and the fishing is good”
“In April we stayed for 3 days. I called the ranger 3 times asking for toilet paper for the vault bathrooms. None was brought to the vaults. In June during our visit the grass needed to be mowed, about 8 inches tall.”
“One of the very rare places in Kansas, that I could paddle my canoe without having to worry about being hit by a motorboat.”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (731 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
