Venango Park Campground sits along the eastern shore of Kanopolis Lake, about 30 miles southwest of Salina and reached from Highway 141 with a short turn onto Venango Road. The campground occupies a tree-dotted shoreline backed by sandstone bluffs, rolling hills and wide prairie; Loder Point Marsh, inside the campground, draws waterfowl and is a good place for early-morning birdwatching.
