North Fork Campground sits on the north shore of Rough River Lake in south-central Kentucky, with the five-thousand-acre reservoir cutting through rolling, forested hills of sandstone, shale and limestone. The shoreline here shows the same karst terrain that characterizes the region sinks, small caverns and limestone exposures and the lake attracts migratory songbirds and waterfowl as well as anglers chasing bass, crappie and catfish; bass tournaments are held on the lake throughout the year.

“Very nice quiet campground. During the week was almost empty but filled up on the weekend. Best sites for big rigs was in the back loop. No electric sites near water only primitive sites. Only store close by was general dollar anything else was 35 minutes away. ”
