Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights2 sites open for every nightA forested campground near fishing. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.
The Lower Campground also serves as the trailhead for the Au Sable Light Station, a roughly 3-mile (5 km) round trip stroll that delivers close views of Lake Superior, Jacobsville sandstone outcrops, and visible shipwreck remains along the shore. Beyond the campground, Pictured Rocks offers about 100 miles (161 km) of trails to waterfalls, beaches, sand dunes, inland lakes and high cliff overlooks, plus opportunities for boating, paddling, fishing, swimming, wildlife viewing, climbing, and diving where conditions permit.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“Beautiful location and site. Our only problem was that someone was set up in the spot we reserved. And there was no campground host to go to. But this may have been due to the govt shutdown.”
“Absolutely loved it! Gorgeous views and close to the trails. Loved how close it was to the lighthouse.”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (8,586 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
