Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights1 site open for every nightA forested campground near trout fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.
Flour Lake Campground sits on the quiet shore of 352-acre Flour Lake amid a stand of mixed hardwoods and pine, where several shallow bays attract loons, ducks, beavers, moose and the occasional bear along with bald eagles and songbirds. The site is about a 30- to 35-minute drive from Grand Marais: follow the Gunflint Trail north roughly 27 miles, turn east onto County Road 22 for about 3 miles, then a short half-mile on the campground road.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“Very nice campground! Well maintained and the bathrooms were clean and stocked. Beautiful lake, and a nice access point right in the campground. Nice hiking around the lake on a groomed trail created for winter time skiing. ”
“Camp sites were stacked on each other. My “neighbors” were so close I learned how to properly “stimulate” an elephant and artificially impregnate them. I also learned why all their phone contacts are listed in the manner they were.”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (4,162 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
