Ruark Bluff West sits along the western shore of Stockton Lake in the Ozark foothills, a shady campground framed by rolling hills, patches of native prairie grass and stands of hardwoods that turn vivid in autumn. The campground opens onto one of the lake's many coves and makes water access straightforward: a boat ramp and small beach lie just outside the park entrance, and the lake's nearly 300 miles of shoreline create plenty of pockets for sailing, paddle sports and quiet coves for angling.

“Overall it's a really nice campground. The only issues I really ever experience is other campers that are inconsiderate. People allowing their dogs to bark at 4:00 in the morning and racing remote control cars up and down the roadway near other people's vehicles and people.”
“Had a great weekend. Not too hot, not too cold. ”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (16,733 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
