Camping at Fishing Tales Resort near Lebanon

The Gasconade River, Missouri's most consistently productive float fishing stream for smallmouth bass, flows through Laclede County and the surrounding Ozark counties in a clear-water float corridor that canoe outfitters have served from the Bennett Spring area since the mid-twentieth century development of float fishing as the Ozarks' dominant recreational water activity. Lake of the Ozarks, approximately 25 miles northeast of Lebanon, provides the Ozarks' largest reservoir with marinas, boat rentals, and the entertainment infrastructure of the Lake of the Ozarks community that supplements the Lebanon area's natural outdoor recreation with commercial lake resort amenities.
