Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights3 sites open for every nightA forested campground near fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. RV fit varies by site.
Recreation at Turkey Fork focuses on water activities and fishing: the lake is stocked with bass and bluegill, and other reports list catfish and crappie as well, making it a solid choice for anglers; boating, swimming and other watersports are commonly enjoyed here. Beyond the immediate lakeshore, the DeSoto National Forest offers wider opportunities hiking, biking, horseback riding and off-highway vehicle routes are available elsewhere in the forest so you can combine a waterfront stay with broader trail-based outings.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“Wonderful weekend! It was quite and the temperature was perfect. ”
“Great out of the way campground on a nice reservoir. Site number 3 was level for our Coachman Nova. Well maintained site with mowed paths along lakeshore. Would definitely stay again. ”
“We have been fishing at Turkey Fork many times. This was our first experience staying at the campsite and it was very peaceful and relaxing.”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (785 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
