The campground is set up for water-focused recreation and family activity: there is direct access to the Tenn-Tom for boating, a fishing dock for anglers chasing bass, catfish and crappie, and two nearby lakes (Columbus and Kennedy) to explore by boat or from shore. On-land options include three playgrounds, a nature trail suitable for hiking and birding, and bike-friendly park roads.
