Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights1 site open for every nightA forested campground near trout fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.
Indian Trees Campground sits at roughly 5,100 feet on a forested bench just off Highway 93 in southwest Montana, about six miles south of Sula and then a short mile on Forest Road 729. The site takes its name from a stand of ponderosa pines marked by historic bark scars where Native people stripped cambium for food; those tall pines now shade the sites and give the loop a distinct, lived-in feel.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“Great spot in the trees. Nice level spots, quiet, very friendly hosts who greeted us warmly on the way in. Probably the absolutely cleanest vault toilets we've ever seen -- granted, just pumped the day before and sanitized, but still an unexpected surprise.”
“The camp host was excellent. Some spots face away from the camp spot, ours included. The fire rings were full and the dumpster was full for all 4 days. ”
“Very nice and maintained Campground. Been there once before. Wasn't disappointed this time either. ”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (1,763 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
