A forested campground near fishing, and hiking. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.
The setting opens directly onto trails and water: Swiftcurrent Creek and Lake lie within easy reach and the surrounding peaks Altyn, Henkel, Wilbur, Grinnell Point, Allen and Wynn frame many vistas. Many Glacier's trailheads sit at relatively high elevation compared with the west side of the park, so approaches to alpine bowls and viewpoints are often shorter but move quickly into true backcountry; the area is classic grizzly and black bear country, so hiking in groups, making noise on the trail and carrying (and knowing how to use) bear spray are essential.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“Absolutely incredible campground with amazing access. Had everything I needed within a short walk, people were quiet and there was plenty of views. Would do site R110 or any site I saw there again in a heartbeat.”
“Absolutely one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in a national park. Easy to find, park, set up a fire and enjoy a peaceful night before hiking up to Grinnel. Glacier became one of not my favorite park in the United States and the campground was part of that.”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (20,567 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
