A forested campground near trout fishing. Most campsites have no hookups.
White Earth Campground sits on the shore of Canyon Ferry Reservoir in the broad valley between the Big Belt and Elkhorn mountains, a landscape where wide water views meet rolling grasslands that support pronghorn, mule and white-tailed deer. The reservoir itself covers about 35,200 acres of water with roughly 76 miles of shoreline, and the larger recreation area includes three marinas (Goose Bay, Kim's, and Yacht Basin) offering boat launching, rental docks and small stores.

“Even though it was dry camping, nice water for kayaking, very quiet and very dark at night. The 5.5 mile road was in very good shape, had to be aware of deer in the evening and early morning drives.”
“This was one of the best places we stayed on our Road Trip through Montana--it was a great chill place for swimming, fishing, etc right by the water. Very clean and the camp host was vey helpful. Highly recomend!”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (4,559 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
