Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights1 site open for every nightA forested campground near trout fishing, hiking, and mountain biking.
Cove Creek Upper Group Camp sits along Cove Creek in Pisgah National Forest and is one of two group camping areas in this stretch of the southern Appalachians. The site feels very much like a mountain basecamp: hardwood forests slope up around the clearing, and both Cove Creek and the larger Davidson River are steps away for anyone who likes to follow water for scenery or cold-water trout fishing.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“Site looked great, especially towards the end of peak season. The water pump was not working when we stayed in April and it was not working on this trip either (September) -- so hopefully this can be fixed. I would plan for an outage just in case.”

“Upper Cove Creek Campground is set at a good elevation and is very peaceful. The stream crossing to access the site should not be attempted by small or low cars.”
