East Totten Trail Campground sits on the west shore of Lake Audubon the smaller sister lake to Lake Sakakawea and is the only developed campground on Audubon's shoreline. The site feels open prairie-meets-water: grassy camping areas with scattered trees and a lake view from nearly every site.

Length limits vary by campsite.
Some sites have no hookups.

“1st time staying at this campground. We enjoyed our time there. The site we had was level and large, right next to the lake. The campground was clean, and well kept. We will definately stay at East Totten Trail again and as.often as possible.”
“Stated I could have 2 vehicles but nowhere to park second vehicle at campsite, but could unhook boat in grass by campsite and then park vehicle several campsites away if there was room or at entrance to camp grounds. I would find somewhere else unless last resort.”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (6,635 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
