Timber Creek Campground sits high in Duck Creek Basin on the Schell Creek Range at about 8,500 feet, surrounded by a dense mix of Engelmann spruce, aspen and white fir that throws good shade in summer and vivid color in autumn. The campground fronts Timber Creek, a perennial stream where anglers try for rainbow and brook trout, and a trailhead for the High Schells Wilderness is only a short walk up the road, putting multi-day hikes and peak climbs within easy reach.

Length limits vary by campsite.
