Camping at Highway 9 Landing near Eufaula

Public campground · Eufaula · 65 campsites

A forested campground near fishing, and hiking. RV fit varies by site.

About this campground

The lake itself is the dominant reason visitors come: Eufaula is the largest lake located entirely in Oklahoma, with roughly 102,000 surface acres and more than 600 miles of shoreline that range from wide sandy beaches to rocky bluffs. Fishing is a major draw here crappie, sand bass, catfish and black bass reach notable sizes in the main lake, and anglers below the dam have taken striped bass over 40 pounds in the tailwaters.

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.

Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (11,145 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
