Lost Rapids Campground sits on the eastern shore of Pine Creek Lake, a 3,750-acre impoundment of Little River at the western edge of the Ouachita Mountains. The lake's unusually long shoreline about 74 miles creates lots of shallow coves and points that attract birds and wildlife, which makes the campground a favorite for birding and nature photography.

Length limits vary by campsite.
Some sites have no hookups.

“We live close by but it's closer to our jobs than our home. It is a wonderful place to stay. We go to work everyday from here and don't have to worry about our things getting stolen or messed with. Get to see deer everyday. Not catching much fish but it's pretty peaceful. ”

For November weekends, book about 49 days ahead. Three in four November Friday and Saturday arrivals were booked later than that, and half were booked 17 days or less before arrival. Past timing is guidance, not a guarantee of what is open now.

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (1,762 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
