Camping at Gull Point Campground near Bend

Public campground · Bend · 78 campsites · 2 group

A forested campground near trout fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.

About this campground

Outdoor options cluster around the reservoir and the nearby volcanic landscapes. Gull Point is a straightforward base for boating, canoeing, swimming and shoreline fishing: Wickiup's relatively warm shallows and cooler deep channels produce strong trout fishing, with brown trout often reaching very large sizes (fish to 20 pounds have been documented, with typical catches in the 5 8 pound range); kokanee, coho, rainbow and brook trout, whitefish and chub are also present.

“We were in spot 37. Very private with amazing scenery around it.”

Hannah E 5 · Aug 2025 · Recreation.gov

“This was my first time camping at Gull Point. I was impressed with the size of each camp spot. Even though campers used generators we could not hear them. Campsite 77. Nice view of the lake and access to trash and bathrooms. I went in July and there were no mosquitos!”

For July weekends, book about 160 days ahead. Three in four July Friday and Saturday arrivals were booked later than that, and half were booked 56 days or less before arrival. Past timing is guidance, not a guarantee of what is open now.

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.

Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (7,892 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
