Delta is particularly well placed for water-based recreation: the McKenzie River here is a favored stretch for rafting and drift-boat fishing, and a non-motorized boat launch sits within a mile of the campground (a motorized launch and flat-water access are available within ten miles, near Cougar Reservoir). Mountain biking and hiking trails branch off nearby, and Terwilliger Hot Springs is within a short drive for a soak after a day on the water or the trails.
