Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights4 sites open for every nightA forested campground near fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.
Beyond the immediate river setting, Bull Bend is a practical jumping-off point for exploring the broader Deschutes National Forest and Newberry National Volcanic Monument. The campground sits off Highway 97 south of Bend near Wickiup Junction and provides relatively easy access to the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway and the Lava Lands Visitor Center (about 25 miles away) as well as Newberry Caldera and its Paulina and East Lakes (around 30 miles).

Length limits vary by campsite.

“Wen love Bull Bend. The site is perfect for us. Long driveway pull through. Lots of space in the campsite, and beautiful river views. ”
“great unique campground; However no sign on hwy at turn-off.”
“We went later in the season. The toilet was super clean. The only downside was per forest service we weren’t allowed fires, but everyone there was having fires. It was a little concerning since the fire danger was still high and your stuck on this tiny peninsula. ”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (2,282 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
