Camping at Pringle Falls Campground near Bend

Public campground · Bend · 7 campsites

A forested campground near fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.

About this campground

Pringle Falls Campground sits on the banks of the Deschutes River under a mixed-conifer canopy about a half-hour south of Bend, reached by heading south on Highway 97 and turning west onto County Road 43; look for the campground sign on the north side of the road. This is a small, low-service site with seven campsites total each laid out to accept either an RV or tent so it works for a couple of trailers or caravans but never feels like a large developed park.

“There is no sign for the campground or for Forest Service Road 500 on Burgess Road. The link for directions with Apple maps from Rec.gov are wrong, directs to a private road. Use Google maps.”

“The campground was nice and the bathrooms were the cleanest I’ve ever seen! Very dusty area! ”

How far ahead to book Pringle Falls Campground

For September weekends, book about 98 days ahead. Three in four September Friday and Saturday arrivals were booked later than that, and half were booked 18 days or less before arrival. Past timing is guidance, not a guarantee of what is open now.

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.

Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (673 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
