A forested campground near fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. Most campsites have no hookups.
Woods Ferry Campground sits on the east bank of the Broad River in the Enoree Ranger District of the Francis Marion and Sumter National Forests, roughly 40 miles southwest of Rock Hill and 57 miles southeast of Spartanburg at an elevation near 350 feet. The site is set where a wooded floodplain meets upland pine and maturing hardwoods, so trails and campsites are shaded by dogwoods and hardwood canopies in summer and let winter sun through stands of pine.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“The trails are beautiful and the picnic area is right along side a river under shady trees.”
Jodie B ★ 5 · Oct 2025One of my most favorite places to ride
Shelley E ★ 5 · Sep 2025Great primitive camping. Sites are not on top of each other so you fee like you have some privacy. The vault toilets were clean. Had really nice pipe corrals to keep the horses in. The trails are beautiful and the picnic area is right along side a river under shady trees. Great place to bring your horse and ride 25 miles of trails.
Sandy B ★ 3 · Jul 2025Camps for horse riders should be separate from the hikers and hunters, as the horses and smells and noises are in close proximity to the other campers that don't ride horses. We had to leave our campsite to find quiet and get away from the smells that winds carried over from the horse stalls across from us. It was an overnight stay, but we left early.

For September weekends, book about 21 days ahead. Three in four September Friday and Saturday arrivals were booked later than that, and half were booked 6 days or less before arrival. Past timing is guidance, not a guarantee of what is open now.

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (1,895 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
