“Campsites were large easy to pull into and clean. I like the fact that there paddocked panels rather than stanchions for the horses to stand. I like really like that the trails are right next to the camp.”

Debra M 5 · Oct 2025 · Recreation.gov

“Great location with direct access to miles of riding trails! Our horses loved the new stalls that have been added to several sites. The bathrooms and showers were well maintained. We will definitely be back! ”

Megan D 5 · Oct 2025 · Recreation.gov

“Very nice horse camp great trails , well maintained. The bath house was clean and stocked well. The new horse pens are great. Much safer than the tie stalls for horses that want to lay down ”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.

Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (2,544 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
