Recreation at East Fork centers on the lake and the adjacent trail network: Lavon Lake covers about 21,400 acres and reaches depths near 59 feet, supporting boating, fishing, and a range of water sports off the campground's ramps and beach. A trailhead for the Trinity Trail begins next to the campground, making horseback riding and hiking easy without driving elsewhere, and the park also provides opportunities for wildlife viewing, picnicking, playground use, and other concession-based recreation and specialized sport sites.
